PRESS RELEASE: 5th and 6th December 2009
Rockingham stages
An
impressive weekend for Andrew and Team Permashine at Rockingham
Stages, the last event of the year and one of the best
and most competitive stages rallies of the season.
The team were seeded 87 out of 95 so Andrew and Ricky
needed to push to get a result. The weather conditions
were bad making the track extremely wet and slippery,
nevertheless the team started well and were able to record
some fast times. After the first two stages the team were
lying 39th overall and 5th in class.
On stage 3 the team notched their performance up a gear
and were able to record a very fast time jumping up to
34th overall and 4th in class only 14 seconds behind 3rd.
Due to the worsening weather conditions the team were
unable to close the gap further that day as stage 4 was
cancelled.
Raring to go on Sunday morning the team had been reseeded
34, a huge jump from their original 87 reflecting their
impressive performance on Saturday. The fast pace continued
through the final stages as the team finished an impressive
27th overall and 3rd in class gaining them their first
award.
Andrew and Ricky would like to thank their sponsors PIAA
UK and Permashine for their support throughout the year.
